COVID-19

2020 has been an exceptional year to say the least. We have all felt the trials and tribulations of COVID-19. We have made some changes to the way we operate for the safety of ourselves, you, and the children. We now use both front doors for entry and exit of different bubble groups. Parent/carers/visitors will not be allowed entry to nursery unless it is an emergency. We will only do virtual viewings for new clients, although we will still provide settling in periods for new children.

We will not be running our Breakfast/Afterschool clubs during the Covid pandemic, to enable staff to have as little contact outside of their bubble group as possible. We will continue with Wrap Around Care for children who have 15/30 hours free childcare with Rhondda Cynon Taff.

Sanitising stations and PPE are placed throughout the areas. We have cut our vast number of toys to ensure we have a supply of sterilised boxes to alternate. Some activities such as sand/water and playdough will be strictly planned and observed. We have replaced our carpets with safety flooring throughout except for the stairs and office. We have rigorous cleaning regimes in place and follow the guidelines set out in NHS WALES INFECTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL FOR CHILDCARE SETTINGS 0-5YRS

Our aim at Heavenly Day Nursery is to:” Provide a service based on a reputation of trust, honesty and commitment. The provision provided will be safe, secure and a stimulating environment in which children learn through play.  Play experiences will encourage the physical, intellectual, emotional, social and language development of each individual child, ensuring each one develops to their full potential.”
